Lull

This project explores the creation of a speculative product set in a dystopian reality, where fast-paced lifestyles leave little room for rest. The brief called for an original and imaginative concept, with a focus on developing a compelling design through experimentation across tools, storytelling, and visual execution. Lull is a conceptual sleep centre that reimagines rest by integrating sleep paralysis “demons” into everyday life. Users design personalised lamps that summon these entities to complete tasks while they sleep, allowing them to reclaim time and energy. Blending dark humour with social commentary, the concept reflects on modern productivity culture, offering a playful yet thought-provoking take on outsourcing the mundane to focus on what truly matters.
